Smart Coordination On-Site

In large-scale infrastructure projects, aligning digital models with on-site activities often presents serious challenges. By supporting field teams in adopting mobile-based coordination tools, I enabled stakeholders to access up-to-date federated BIM models, track progress, and communicate effectively in real time.

Thanks to this approach, it became easier to resolve clashes quickly, visualize 4D simulations on site, and maintain shared issue logs — helping engineers, subcontractors, and project managers stay aligned throughout the construction phase.

Improving the experience

One common issue in projects was the difficulty of quickly modeling and sharing on-site clashes with other teams. To overcome this, I directly managed the modeling and communication workflows for these issues. By ensuring that clashes were clearly represented in the 3D model and shared across all disciplines during coordination sessions, I accelerated resolution times and improved overall team alignment.

Field-Based Model Validation

To maintain alignment between the BIM model and field progress, I regularly compared the digital model with on-site construction through visual inspections and measurements. When discrepancies emerged, I promptly coordinated with relevant teams to resolve them before they caused delays or rework.

Project outcomes

By facilitating BIM-based coordination on site, I helped detect thousands of clashes early, reduce field-level errors, and improve communication between teams. These efforts supported measurable savings in time, labor, and reconstruction costs.
